Wikia came to me late in the process of developing the alpha release of their new open source search engine. They wanted to visually stand out from other engines as well as differentiate the social aspects of the site from other sites, like facebook.

Groupings of textual content are denoted clearly with distinct spacing and color heirarchy on all pages. After viewing a single page, it is clear what each color represents as an interactive item, providing the user with an easy way to manage their content. On the profile page the list of user facts were very mechanical and needed a more natural presentation, so adapting them into one intelligible sentence wherever possible allowed for a more humanistic approach.
